About the Role:
As a Graduate Embedded Systems Firmware Software Engineer at LCE, you will support our senior engineering team in the development and maintenance of advanced technologies that contribute to a sustainable future. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to enhance their skills in embedded systems, firmware, and software development within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Firmware Development: Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain firmware, primarily using C for our Patented technology.
Software Support: Assist in the ongoing improvement and maintenance of existing systems using C#, Python and VBA.
Research & Development: Engage in R&D initiatives with a focus on pioneering low-carbon technologies, leveraging data science to visualise data.
Collaboration: Work closely with electrical and electronic engineers to optimise systems and ensure seamless integration.
Learning & Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development to expand your expertise in embedded systems, firmware, and software development.
About You
Essential Criteria
Educational Background: A strong Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
Technical Skills: Experience with embedded programming and languages like C, Python, VBA, Excel, or C++ and familiarity with Git for version control (Git training will be provided).

Location: Based near or willing to relocate to Bolton, Greater Manchester, UK.
Travel: Willingness to occasionally travel to test sites in the UK or Europe.
Driving Licence: Possess or are willing to obtain a driving licence.
Continuous Learning: A willingness to engage with all aspects of the business, as this is an SME.
